| Our age has its temples, where we worship science, knowledge, culture. Some of them are open to all. Others admit only a select few - meticulously chosen for their taste, the fervour of their quest, the respectability of their research. The Club of Rome is one such, founded by Alexander King. It is a club where humanists of all persuasions - but only the most renowned - meet to rough out together how our civilization could and should look in the future. A club which every year the whole world listens to to hear of its own future. |
