| Joaquin Ruiz Giménez was a minister in Franco's government. Then, bang in the middle of the Franco regime, he went into opposition and never stopped looking for ways of turning Spain into a democracy. He defended those under threat from the Caudillo. If Spain is at peace today, it is partly his doing. Today he too is at peace himself, having done his job as a human being. |
