The slow ebbing away of your status as a human being, leaving you an animal, an object, the deep and bitter feeling of being nothing but a weeping piece of rubbish. Pain which pursues you everywhere even when you sleep or faint from pain. The trap of suffering whose jaws close around you and won't let you go.
