| When the mind opens a door of knowledge, it discovers as many questions as answers. So it goes from discipline to discipline, linking science with science, wedding the hypotheses of one with the precepts of another, constructing a new knowledge, of which it is both pupil and inventor. Physician, philosopher and writer, Carl-Friedrich von Weizsäcker has ben through this piling of knowledge upon knowledge, he has created a true culture: many-faceted and human. And what conclusion has he reached? That there is nothing as important as peace. And it is to this cause that he now devotes himself. All good books lead to it. |
